I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. I started my private practice, Darbouze, LLC, working with adults, children, adolescents in an outpatient setting offering individual and family therapy. Treatment includes a Cognitive Behavioral approach to encourage individuals to define and set goals, gain insight into their presenting problem, and make a plan of action with appropriate use of positive coping strategies.  Our skilled clinicians collaborate with individuals with emotional and behavioral health issues to maintain stability and achieve personal goals. Our support and services are provided in a context that is strength-based, culturally-competent and responsive to the individual's developmental, psychosocial, and treatment needs.

I am a Registered Board Certified Art Therapist, Licensed Associate Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Kean University and my Master’s in Counseling Psychology with Art Therapy Specialization from Caldwell University.  My 8 years cumulative experience has included working with children, adolescents and adults who have presented a variety of emotional and behavioral health concerns in both inpatient crisis and intensive outpatient settings.  My approach to treatment derives from my own experiences as an adolescent and the activities that helped me cope with stress and family problems.  Activities such as drawing, sketching, painting and writing poetry provided outlets for expressing myself and helped me manage stress and adolescent angst. My active role practicing in a range of therapeutic environments has afforded me a rich level of knowledge and success.  I have demonstrated my ability to work as part of a team, consult with staff and assist families in solving problems or creating alternatives, as well as contributing in the implementation of therapeutic programs. I have successfully facilitated numerous Art Therapy groups dealing with topics such as Social Skills, Anger Management, Depression, Anxiety, Substance Abuse, Body Image, Cultural Sensitivity and co-wrote a Young Women’s Trauma Narrative group.  I have worked in several counties including Somerset, Union, Essex and Monmouth.
